Why Ukrainian?

During times of oppression, the Ukrainian language was sustained, in part, through the songs of traveling kobzar musicians. For that reason, it’s fitting that we are translating our songs into the language. Ukrainian is the native and official tongue of Ukraine, spoken by about forty-five million people. The nation is home to the world’s second-largest group of Eastern Orthodox Christians, and we hope these songs deepen the understanding and faith of the country’s children.

How will it work?

Our lyrics will be translated into Ukrainian and the songs will be sung by fluent Ukrainian speakers. Children in central and eastern Europe will hear God’s truth sung in the language of their culture, helping it to sink deep into their hearts. The funds we’re raising cover the costs of translation, recording, and distribution.

Translation Procedures

Over the last few years we have developed detailed translation procedures. These help us ensure that at the end of any project we have an album that is:

  • Faithful to the truth in Scripture
  • Singable by your children
  • Professional and high quality

We want to see the translations of the Questions with Answers music used all over the world, and we want each recording to be the best it can be.

If you are interested in adding a new translation, please click here to download the latest version of our translation procedure document, and then click here to contact us to talk about your ideas.
